Snow and crab in Sapporo

We're a group of ladies dropping by Sapporo for 2 days 3 nights for crab and snow on the 1st week of March. Basically only 1 day in Sapporo (yes wish we've more time :-( ) We're not going to ski but is there somewhere near Sapporo station that has plenty of snow? Hopefully easily accessed via public transport. We're also crab and Gyu Kaku / yakiniku lovers... Any recommendations on which good restaurants? Our hotel is near Sapporo Station.
2nd day we plan to train to Otaru. Similarly, where are the good seafood or grilled/ BBQ beef restaurants there? Thanks for any help :-)

Hi there. Your closest bet would be Niseko if you still want to see snow. The festival would have already ended in Feb.
You can give it a try at Yakiniku Tokuju K-place in Sapporo. Booking is preferably preferred though. Otaru serves fresh sashimi and I have yet to dine there for lunch or dinner. But you definitely have to give LeTAO a try at their cheesecakes.

Thanks, Lynnkaylen. Yakiniku Tokuju K-place looks good. Perhaps we will go for lunch :-). Wonder if there's any place that's buffet style?
