Ashigaka Wisteria in late March/early April

I will be arriving in Tokyo on March 28, 2016, and will be there for 1 week. Would it still be worthwhile to visit Ashikaga to see the wisteria? Would there be any in bloom at that time? Thank you, in advance, for your advice.

I don't think it will be worth it. There may be a tiny bit of blooms, but you wont get the full effect. If you check here http://www.ashikaga.co.jp/parkdayori/flower.php?srym=201504you can scroll down to the beginning of April to see pictures from different days. The post from April 8th, 2015 shows only buds on the wisteria. This year seems like it will be an average year for the sakura, so probably same for the wisteria as well.

I will be visiting Ashikaga in late April, and hoping the timing would be right for the Wisteria. I could only assume that your timing could be too early for the wisteria, but perfect for the hanami. http://www.ashikaga.co.jp/english/story.html
