I will be in Kamakura for one week in March and would be grateful for any suggestions / itinerary on what to see / explore / eat. I am visiting Kamakura for the first time.
Thank you very much for your help :-)

Try the Kamakura page on this website to start.
There's a few hiking trails and lots of temples to explore by bike. Enoshima is close by, as is Tokyo. I believe there's a famous confectionery shop in the main street, but I can't remember the name or where I read that!

Well, one week might be way more than enough to see the whole place, but the suggestions so far are quite good - see Enoshima, plus there is the beach, the hiking, and numerous historical temples. You also might branch out to see Izu, Tanzawa-Oyama area, and Hakone. Yokohama has its sights too. Look into some regional passes. http://www.odakyu.jp/english/deels/

I also recommend going to Enoshima while youfre there since itfs right next door and also interesting. I know many people are going to tell you one week is a bit much, but Ifm sure youfll find plenty to do. Many people go to Kamakura more than once, especially if they live in Tokyo or go to Japan often. This map was the most useful -sightseeing wise- that I used on my trip there: http://horizons.free.fr/seikatsu/documents/maps/jp-kamakura_map_2007.j... and others have already said to check out the Kamakura travel section on here. You might want to read a few trip reports and just google eto do Kamakuraf for many peoplefs suggestions (although they tend to repeat themselves after a while). I also recommend the hiking trails. I didnft really have the time, but I wouldfve loved to walk to Hokokuji instead of taking the bus since by what Ifve read it seems like one of the most beautiful trails. Herefs my trip report if youfre interested: https://tokyoanecdote.wordpress.com/2016/02/27/daibutsu-hiking-trail-k...
