Places to visit & eat around Adachi Museum

We'll arrive to Adachi museum May 24th from Okayama by car leaving the next morning to Hiroshima. Any recommendation what's best to visit & see by late afternoon? We shall stay the night in Matsu- Any good (not expensive) places to eat?
