Tokyo to Fujisan to Kyoto and to Osaka 2016/4/5 01:43
Hi Guys. I am really sorry if this Q seems familiar, but after browsing thru all the questions and answers, i am still confused. I am visiting tokyo for 3 days before heading to yamanakako, fujisan(staying for 1 night) from here we will be heading to kyoto (accommodation fr 3 nights in kyoto already bought) and later to Osaka. We have not purchased any train tickets. What is your advice on how to travel from Tokyo-Yamanakako-Kyoto-Osaka. Should we use train all the way? Pls advise. Your help is very much appreciated.

(Date of travel, 12-15 April (tokyo)
15-16 (Fuji-yamanakako)
16-19 (kyoto)
19-21 (osaka)

First of all I guess you know Fuji Subaru Line is still closed above 4th station until 22nd April.

(1) I would take an express bus from Tokyo to Yamanakako

or

(2) From Yamanakako to Kyoto
Bus from Yamanakako to Gotenba Station (40min)
Gotenba Sta - Numazu - Mishima by JR
Mishima - Kyoto by JR Shinkansen

(3) Kyoto-Osaka :You have choices e.g. JR/Hankyu/Keihan. I do not recommend Shinkansen unless you are in hurry or have free pass.

I presume except (1) you can have seats without reservation.
