How long will Sunrise Izumo/Seto last?

Being the last night train, have the JR company mentioned any plans for the future of Sunrize Izumo/Seto night train?
The travel time Okayama to Izumoshi is 3 hours. Then you got a shinkansen train from Tokyo to Okayama taking 3,5 hours. This resembles the situation with the Tokyo - Sapporo night train, 3,5 hours to Shin-Aomori (now Shin-Hakodate), then 6 hours to Sapporo (now 3,5 if transfer at Shin-Hakodate).
That night train was ended.
Izumoshi night train takes even less hours. Is the profit enough to make the Sunrise train going strong?

The difference is that the Shinkansen to Hokkaido is new, whereas the Sanyo Shinkansen has been operating for decades.
There is currently no talk of discontinuing the Sunrise Seto/Izumo.

The month of May it is still operational. And will be operational until JR West and JR Central actually make an announcement about the train service's future.
