Cherry Blossom in Osaka past the peak 2016/4/5 13:48
We are thinking of travelling from Australia to Osaka on 8th April (till 11 April) just to see the Cherry Blossom. The forecast says "best viewing unti 6th April". Would there still be Cherry Blossom worth traveling from Australia to see? Or should we wait till next year?

Check the Destinations/Osaka section at the top of this Japan-guide.com website. The photos are absolutely amazing taken yesterday, and the comment seems to be they will stay like that to the end of the week, as long as the weather doesn't ruin them.

NHK had great photos , live, yesterday on the TV.

There are various cherry blossom varieties, some blooming earlier or later than the others. If the common varieties are already past their prime by the time you arrive, then some varieties might just be entering their peak.

Hi, during that time, please try Mt Yoshino in Nara. There are 3 level of Yoshino Mountain height, low, middle and high. At high level, sakura will start to blossoms from April 10th so you can definitely see full blossom.
