What to do in Matsushima or Sendai?

Hello,

I am going to take the night bus from Sendai to Tokyo at around 11 pm or so.

I'm going to be in Matsushima before arriving in Sendai. I'm just wondering what can I do to kill time until my night bus?

How long can I can at Matsushima for? Is there anything to do after 5 pm or when the shops close?

What about Sendai? What is there to do after 5 pm?

Matsushima is pretty dead after 5. I'd head to Sendai, which is a pretty big urban center for the region with all the restaurants and evening entertainment that that usually entails.

Any particularly interesting place/restaurant/thing to do at Sendai if I arrive around 6?
