Kumamoto-jo, is it open?

Hello,
I've heard that Kumamoto (and surrounds) have taken a fair bit of damage from the earthquakes, including the castle.
Is Kumamoto-jo still open for visitors & in usual opening hours?
& what about other sites in the city?

The castle is closed for an unspecified time period. Probably weeks if not months. So is the Former Hosokawa Residence. Damage was severe, and it is not safe to enter the site now.
