Picking up rail pass on day of travel

I booked JR Kansai Hiroshima Area passes online and received a booking conformation email with the booking number. The JR West website states that you just need to bring the booking confirmation email printout along with the passport and cash/credit card payment in order to pick up the passes. It also says that the validity of the pass starts from 12 a.m (midnight).
We are planning to pick up the passes on the day of travel i.e. pick them up in the afternoon and travel the same afternoon. Is this possible? Thanks in advance

It's possible, but make sure you allow enough time in case there are long lines at the pick-up point.
