I have planned to go to Japan this year. I already read many articles about IC card in Japan, and it makes me confusing about that. I have some questions about it:
1. Where we can use SUICA card? JR Line only (such as Yamanote, Keiyo, etc.) or private subway line (Metro and Toei) only? Or we can use it both? 2. Can we use ICOCA card in Tokyo for any JR Lines and Subway Line (Toei and Metro)?
All your answer will highly appreciated. Thank you

IC cards will work for all transport. You don't need both the SUICA and the ICOCA; both will work everywhere (except the trams in Hiroshima, I believe). There is a page on this website about IC cards that has a big table that shows where each IC card works, and where it doesn't.
