How busy is Ise around 15-17 October? 2016/5/8 02:00
hi,

I read at several websites/books that there are some ceremonies around 15-17 October in Ise-Shrine,
but I couldn't find much details about those events.
Especially I was wondering if hotels/accommodations are booked up in those days?
On the other hand it would be the question if there is much to see from those events as a normal tourist?

So, my options are currently to plan the journey so that we exactly arrive at those days or go to Ise a half week later.

After planning the other parts of my trip, it seems to fit better to go to Ise after October 20th.
So, the question is not that important for me any more ... but I'm still wondering if a normal tourist can see any of those rituals?

Btw. finding details about the rituals with my limited Japanese is really tricky ...

The English Wikipedia is missing any details about the rituals
only the German Wikipedia contains some dates:
15.-17. October Kanname-sai ... with short description (that is a kind of Shinto/Japanese Thanksgiving)
... and other events on 13th, 14th, 15th

The official English site mentions ( http://www.isejingu.or.jp/foreign/ritual/index.html#annual ):
Oct.15 - Oct.25 Kanname-sai ... but no details about the ritual
They also have this atmospheric Youtube video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PDm8kVxYaYw

The Japanesse ritual list seems a lot more detailed, even with a specific Kanname page: http://www.isejingu.or.jp/ritual/annual/kanname.html
... with google-translate I see it even contains detailed time points and it seems most rituals are focused on 15th-17th
