What would you say are key differences between an average American single man's or woman's lifestyle and a Japanese single man's or woman's lifestyle? Maybe a pros and cons of each?

Japanese: Pro - can do their own assignment Can - too much shame, so no easy out like asking people on the internet
American: Pro - willing to use modern technology to rope someone else into answering their questions Con - their stereotypical selfish and lazy attitude won't cut it here

Yes, I see where you're going with this and appreciate your drollness but... isn't this a forum for asking questions? It may well be for a homework assignment but the question's valid, nonetheless and probably didn't deserve your scathing wit.

Questions, yes, but the OP certainly seems to have not done any research at all. If he/she was really trying they'd give examples of how life is for Americans and ask for genuine insight as to how that compares to similarly aged people in Japan. They haven't done that though, have they? It indicates a "ticking the boxes" process rather than actually trying to learn.
