10. The Seaside Top Observatory above Hamamatsucho Station has a great view of Tokyo Tower - really close up and you can see it from the ground up (no buildings blocking it).

13. I agree with the first poster - get some Japanese curry! A popular chain is Coco Curry; you'll probably come across one at some point. Also try tonkatsu - breaded and fried pork cutlet.

14. I've heard Icecream City is overrated, and you need to pay the entrance fee for the indoor theme park it's in in order to get to it. Stick to the amazing soft serve sold at many of the tourist attractions.

Another shopping suggestion is Tokyu Hands; I spend so much time there every time I go to Japan. It's a chain store so there are a few around Tokyo, but my favourite is the one in Shibuya.

If you like cooking you might wanna visit Kappabashi street, lots of kitchen utensils and stuff.

There are also several stores selling those food samples you can find at restaurants, it's pretty cool.

So you've never been there, but you're advising against it? I actually have been to Ice Cream City, and I can tell you it was a very different experience from eating soft-serve ice cream from a stand. Lots of strange flavors like basil and avocado, but made with real ice cream.

Anyway, Ice Cream City closed a few years ago, but there is a shop called Ice Parlor that has around fifty flavors of ice cream, and you can try six at a time. It's next to the Namja Gyoza Stadium (http://bento.com/rev/2159.html ), so it makes sense to go to both of them, since you have to pay the admission fee (Y500) for the amusement park as a sort of cover charge.

Visit theme café ( Cat Café, Owl Café, rabbit cafe and hedgehog café)

I think the hedgehog cafe is terribly overpriced, as is the rabbit cafe connected with it. I would recommend Mimi in Ikebukuro for rabbits, and Dog Heart from Aquamarine if you like dogs:

Wherever you go, try to avoid weekends at any animal cafe - they get very crowded, and they're not as much fun as on weekdays.
