Best way to travel to Koyasan, Kyoto & Osaka?

I will be visiting Japan for a week. From KIX, I plan to go to Koyasan first, then Kyoto, then Osaka before flying back home from KIX. Since I'm staying 2N/3D in Koyasan, I can't avail of the world heritage ticket. I'm planning to purchase the round trip ICOCA & Haruka for Tennoji, and use the ICOCA for travel to Koyasan (using Nankai line), Kyoto, and Osaka. Is this the most economical way? Can the ICOCA be used on the cable car going up to Koyasan? Would appreciate any suggestions. Thanks.

It will depend on your other travels. But there is a Koyasan round trip ticket that covers the train there, cable car and buses for 2/3 days.
The Haruka + Icoca option does not sound suitable for you.
I would just get a Icoca card for you Kyoto and Osaka travels. And the Koyasan ticket for you Koyasan days.
