Is the Ra.a.g.f bunny cafe worth going to? 2016/5/23 11:42
I'm going to Japan in September and as I really love bunnies I would really enjoy going to a bunny cafe! As I'm also going to Harajuku one day and I stumbled across this cafe there I thought that maybe it would be a good one to go to. Does anyone here have any experience with this cafe and do you recommend it? Are there and better cafes available? Thank you!

There are several rabbit cafes in Tokyo: http://animalcafes.com/rabbits.html

Personally I thought Ra.a.g.f was too small and rather uncomfortable, although it's a convenient location. My first recommendation would be Mimi in Ikebukuro, followed by Ohisama in Shimo-Kitazawa. Moff Rell in Akihabara would be another choice. By all means, be sure to avoid weekends wherever you go.

If you're going to be anywhere close to Osaka, Usayu in Ikaraki City, Osaka Prefecture, is the best rabbit cafe in Japan, mainly because it's so spacious: http://animalcafes.com/v/25530.html

RocketNews24 gives Ra.a.g.f. a thumbs up, and has a pretty thorough article on the chain here.

I'm not saying that Ra.a.g.f is a bad place, but there are other cafes that deliver a better visitor experience, with more rabbits, more space, more comfortable seating, more amenities (20 varieties of coffee at Mimi for example).

At Ra.a.g.f they tend to let only one or two rabbits run loose at a time, while at Mimi it's a big rabbit party with lots of rabbits out of their cages at the same time, chasing each other and playing.

(Also that Rocket News article is from two years ago, before Mimi even opened.)
