Train timings on Google Maps and Hyperdia 2016/5/25 20:46
Hi.

Just wondering if those timings on Google Maps and Hyperdia reflect the actual train timings? Say, a limited express is listed as arriving in Kobe at 8:41 on one particular day in those sites, is it really so in reality?

Also, if it does reflect reality, does it have the same timing on another day, in a month's time or does it change all the time?

Thanks.

Most (if not all) of my Hyperdia searches were correct. The arrivals and departures normally don't vary much, but it's best to look at the day's schedule. Hyperdia's schedule normally gives you the shortest transfer times that can be physically done, but it doesn't take into account those who are not familiar with the station's layout.

It is very important to remember this.

Hyperdia is not perfect, however, so don't follow it blindly like a robot. Pay attention to signage at the station; if there's a discrepancy, it's of course the railway company that's correct.
