Best way to get to Fuji from Hakone-Yumoto 2016/5/31 06:31
Hello everybody,

I am Fabio, a 24 years old guy who lives in Rome, Italy.

I will visit Japan for the first time in August with a 6 friends. One of our point to visit is clearly the wonderful Fuji Mountain.

We have already booked a house in Hakone and we can easily get to Hakone-Yumoto Station.

I'd like to ask you which is the best/cheaper way to get to "Fuji Subaru 5th Station" from Hakone-Yumoto Station considering that we are 7 people and we would like to get to the Fuji Mountain as late as possible (because we would like to climb the mountain during the night and see the sunrise - so romantic).

We arrive in Hakone-Yumoto Station on the 9th of August not before the 16 pm.

Thank you for your support, have a nice day.

Fabio

I would confirm that you can climb the mountain at night before trying for transport there.

No direct bus from Hakone-Yumoto.

http://www.fujiyama-navi.jp/fujitozan/access/lang/en/
Both buses no need booking but evening bus not so many be careful.

Subashiri route is shorter than Gotemba
http://www.fujiyama-navi.jp/fujitozan/route/lang/en/
but soon dark(Sun goes down 18:50) when bus reached 5th stn.

Read all.
