Access to Miyama - Kayabuki no sato 2016/7/2 01:41
Hi,
I am planning a day trip to kayabuki no sato this December. I will be using JR pass and will be travelling from New Hankyu Osaka.
I read from Japan guide and it showed as below :
"Take a local or rapid train along the JR Sagano Line (Sanin Line) from Kyoto to Hiyoshi Station (about 45 minutes, 760 yen, fully covered by the Japan Rail Pass). Most trains require a transfer at Sonobe along the way. From Hiyoshi take a Nantan Bus into Miyama (50 minutes, 610 yen one way to Kita). A few buses depart from Sonobe Station instead of Hiyoshi Station."

I also read a couple of blogs. Some took a bus from Hiyoshi and some from Sonobe. What's the difference and which is the best route? Does the bus operate in December ? And will the place be heavily covered with snow in Dec , 22nd to be exact.

Appreciate the advice.

Thanks and Rgds, Jill
