Driving during Early October to........

We like to seek advises if driving by ourselves to the following places we like to go :

- Safe for 3 ladies traveling but one driver
- Parking in these areas ( charges ; easy to find parking )
- Any toll charges applicable or additional charges if rent a car ?
- To drive to shirakawago, will there be problem with the parking?

- Or if we are to take public transport, what will be the best mode and time saving since there are so many modes of public transport available. As we like to stay in Shirakawago for a night, we will have to return to Takayama to collect our luggages since we have to pack a small bag to Shirakawago if we take public transport.

Our tentative itinerary route :
1. Nagoya Chubu Airport - Takayama ( 2 nights ) - Shirakawago ( 1 night ) - Toyama ( 1 night ) - Kanazawa ( 1 night ) - Nagoya ( 3 nights )

Takayama, we will visit ( 2 Nights )
1. Shinhotaka Ropeway
2. Sakae (Hida) Watanabe Sake Brewery

Shirakawago ( 1 night )
1. Stay in a Mingshu
2. Ogimachi

Toyama ( 1 night )
1. Oiwasan Nissekji
2. Medicine Making / Wood carving
3. Oiwa Somen Noodles

Kanazawa ( 1 night )
1. Kenrokuen Traditional Japanese Garden
2. Kanazawa Castle
3. Omicho Market

Nagoya ( 2 or 3 nights )
1. Atsuta Shrine
2. Nagoya Castle
3. Shirotori Garden
4. Port of Nagoya Aquarium
5. Osu Shopping & Osu Kannon Temple

We will be reaching on 30 Sep.

Please help to advise and provide information and suggestions.Greatly appreciated !
