You can easily find the tide times through a Google search.

I was interested in tides on 22nd august but is the only data missing. Why? Anyway I can change day if needed. And what means the third column (type of tide translated by google)? It refers to the sea levels?

If data is missing. My guess is that there isn't much tidal change in that period due to the sun and moon counteracting each other out in that part of the lunar cycle.

Just looked at the link from Willaim5's link. The tidal cycles rotate every 25 hours. So a couple of time and month the data for some lows and highs are left blank as the next low/high is in the next calender day.

Low is at 6:08 am and 6:23 pm on 22nd of August.
IF you follow the 6:08 am down the columns, each day after the 22nd, the first low tide is later in the day.
IF you follow the 6:23 pm up the columns, each day before the 22nd, the second low tide is earlier in the day.
You will need to change the day by quite a few days to get a good viewing time at low tide. 3:05 pm for the 17th for example.

Here is another link for tides around Miyajima, the WWW Tide and current predictor: http://tbone.biol.sc.edu/tide/tideshow.cgiYou will have to select Itukusima, Hiroshima, Japan as your location. This will show the height of the high and low tides. Keep in mind that Miyajima is in the Seto Inland Sea, and water flowing into the sea from Shikoku Island and Chugoku keep the Seto Inland Sea about a meter above sea level, even at low tide. The results are: 00:26 High Tide +3.53 meters 06:40 Low Tide +0.87 meters 12:51 High Tide +3:36 meters 18:54 Low Tide +1.10 meters The best time to visit would be on August 19th. 10:11 High Tide +3.57 meters 16:27 Low Tide +0.40 meters This has the largest variance between the tide, which happens just after a full and new moon, when the sun and the moon work together to produce the highest tides. I would also suggest that you stick around for low tide, because you can actually walk out to the Tori Gate. It will be "beached" at that time. I hope this helps.

10:11 High Tide +3.57 meters: it's only the beginning time I guess, it lasts until afternoon, right?

If you take the 9:15 train, you get to Miyajimaguchi at 9:43. Then you may have to wait a bit for the ferry and then walk. You should make it in time for high tide.
