October tour to Nagoya and surroundings

We a group of 6 people planning a f&e tour to nagoya n surroundings from 5th to 25th october 2016 (7days only) we are from singapore. Which is the best arrangements to travel around? Planning to rent a car , by train and others.

5th to 25th for seven days? maybe the dates are wrong.
For some locations around Nagoya the trains work well, but other locations car is easier. Just rent day by day as you need it.
