Late August too late for Hokkaido flowers?

Hi all,

I was joking with a friend yesterday about doing an impromptu visit to japan. Seems he and I took it serious. So we will be traveling from 24 August to 4th September to Japan.

Hokkaido looks like the prime target for bearable weather. I've been reading up about the many nice flowerfields around Furano.

Will we be too late to view them or won't we make it?

You would be at the tail end of the lavender for Late August.
