Parcel Held By custom~

Hi , on 22 jul i send a parcel containing a pack of biscuit together with a box of earl grey tea to kyoto, japan. however from 25 jul till now it shows a status of my item being held by custom. i had checked that the items i send should be allowed in japan but i dont know why it is being held by custom. do anyone experience the same problem as me? thank you and sorry for your inconvenience.

Contact customs?
Maybe they have sent you a letter to pay duties/gst etc?

Contact customs and/or the carrier. I once had a package containing nothing objectionable held up because the sender incorrectly listed what was inside.
