Which JR Pass do I need?

Hi All,
I want to visit Tokyo, Kyoto and Kanazawa, in that order before returning to Tokyo from Kanazawa. I want to travel in the Green Class Cars on the Shinkansen.
I would also like to travel from Kanazawa to Tokyo on the Kagayaki Shinkansen in the Gran Class car.
What JR pass do I need to buy for this route? Does anyone know what the additional cost would be to ride in the Gran Class car?
Also, does the Kagayaki shinkansen have a smoking room on the train?

A pass would not pay itself off.
You can use hyperdia to find out how much the green class is extra.

For Gran Class, you will have to pay for everything except the base fare.

For tomorrow's train, for example, you'd have to pay and extra 19,630 yen for the GranClass seat on top of your rail pass.
