Takayama-Hokuriku Area Tourist Pass

If i buy Takayama-Hokuriku Area tourist pass , can i use the pass from takayama to Nagoya , and Nagoya go to Osaka , because i want to check-in hotel at Osaka .

The pass does not cover the direct JR Shinkansen between Nagoya and Osaka.
