Takayama to Hodakaso Sanganoyu Hotel 10pm

We will be arriving at Haneda airport at 3pm and if we take the train to Takayama station, we will reach about 10pm. How would we be able to take public transport from Takayama station to Hodakaso Sanganoyu hotel.

Please advise.

You can take a taxi.

First of all, it seems that the ryokan asks its guests to arrive by 6pm. If you have not done so yet, you should definitely consult with your hotel about late check-in.

As for transportation: public transportation is not available at time of the day. You would have to use a taxi (over 10,000 yen).

Note also that travel via Takayama is a big detour. It would be much quicker to travel via Matsumoto. However, even if you travel via Matsumoto, public transportation won't get you there anymore. With good connections, you may be able to make it to Matsumoto by 7pm. Theoretically, you could then rent a car from Matsumoto and make it to the hotel by around 8:30pm.

Yet another option is to drive all the way from Haneda to Hirayu. According to Google it takes just under 4 hours without traffic delays.

However, the best option is to change your travel plans.
