JPR good for me? 2016/8/20 22:55
Hi,

I'll spend

*7 days in Tokyo, one day wanna go to Nikko/Kamakura
*4 days in Kyoto, one day on Nara
*1 day in Koyasan (possibly passing through Osaka) and then from there get back to Tokyo

A one week JRP is it good for me or better to buy single tickets?

Thanks

Japan 7 day rail pass - 29,110 yen.

Here are some ways to get from Tokyo to Kyoto.

Round trip basic fare (unreserved Shinkansen) - 26,160 yen.
I Used Hyperdia for this.
Round trip e-Voucher from JAPANiCAN - 21,600 yen.

There are additional used for the JR Pass, other than going from Tokyo to Kyoto and back. It depends on what you do.

If you include going to Nikko and Kamakura in the travel with the 7 day pass, then yes it would pay off. Overall that looks like the best way to go.

As far as Koyasan goes however, you should look at getting the Koyasan World Heritage Ticket:
