Nagoya-Magome-Tsumago-Kawaguchiko 2016/8/22 22:58
Hello there,
I have a problem and i wish to ask for your opinion.
I plan to stay two nights in Nagoya, then on the 3rd day early morning, I will leave from Nagoya to Magome and do the trek to Tsumago, then leave to Kawaguchiko in the evening.

Is it possible to leave in the evening to Kawaguchiko after the trek? Which transportation and route is good? I'm on budget.

Mark my words, it will be a waste of effort and time if you do the Magome - Tsumango hike.
Just go to Kawaguchiko. This trip alone will take more than 4 hours.

Why do you say it will be a waste of time? I've heard the walk is very scenic. Do you not agree?

Yes.. this does seem like odd advice. Personally, I think this hike is very enjoyable and well worth doing.

That said, it will mean a very long day and the journey from Tsumago to Kawaguchiko will take about 5 hours...

Here are links (shortened for clarity) to Hyperida, showing the journey you'd make from Tsumago.

5pm departure: http://tinyurl.com/hwohruo

You'll need to go to Nagiso station first and set off from there.

So, it's doable but it'll be a long day...
