Cheap or free fun stuff to do in Osaka/Kobe?

Hello! I'm planning on visiting Japan, primarily around Osaka/Kobe later in the Fall and am planning on making this a rather budget travel, so I was wondering if anyone could recommend any cheap or free fun stuff to do around those areas? Also if you know of anything in Kyoto that would be great too! I've been to the Kanto area twice on a VERY tight budget and had lots of fun, so I bet there are lots of fun things in the Kansai area too! Really any kind of thing anybody recommends is fine by me! I don't drink or do clubs though but those things are costly anyway so even if I was into that it would be out of my budget! Hahaha!

Just walk around. City streets can be very interesting in and of themselves!

The only sites on the tour that require an entry fee are Ginkakuji and Kiyomizudera, so you can skip them if you really want to not pay for anything.

You should probably do so more research yourself. Check out the Osaka and Kobe pages on this website to look for temples, shrines, gardens, parks, etc. with no, or a small, entrance fee.
