Why does mail take so long? 2016/8/28 10:47
Recently, I sent a letter from Los Angeles to Tokyo to a friend who lives over there. Impressively, it arrived in 6 days. However, last Wednesday (Thursday in Japan), she sent the response, but it is now Saturday in Los Angeles, and still no letter (pretty much 9 days). Is this normal, or should I be worried?

I average about 13-16 days, so it's a little premature to worry.

My letters between Japan and San Francisco typically take around 2 weeks as well.

From Japan to the US, it typically takes between 10 days and 14 days, so I would not yet worry.
