9-Day Japan Tour Itinerary Suggestion

Hi! We are going to Japan for a vacation in 9 days (Jan 23-31). This will be our first time in Japan so we have the slightest idea of what places to visit at limited time. Any suggestions please on where we should go. We are planning to get JR Pass so we can go anywhere in Japan. Arrival and departure will be on Narita airport. Thanks.
