What to do? Late Nov Landing in Tokyo

HI Everyone!

i am going to travel with my mum this fall from 19 Nov to 28 Nov. As i am landing in Tokyo, i wonder what i should do?

initially waas planning to go Tohoku. but understand that the tress will be bared by then; unable to catch the Koyo.

i have visited Kawaguchigo, Nikko, Yokohama and Kamakura.

should i get a JR pass to go Nara and Kyoto? or is there any nearby cities for side visits or even day trips?

I don't often make itinerary recommendations, but here I will mention Iwakuni, and Takahashi (in Okayama prefecture).
