Pass from Tokyo to Chiba 2016/9/9 12:23
Hi,
I plan to visit Chiba around early Dec16.
I will stay in Shinjuku area and would like to go to Chiba 1 day trip.
But i'm confusing about Pass. Does Tokunai Pass cover Chiba area?? or any other Pass?
Pls suggest.
Thank you.

Where in Chiba? Chiba covers about 10% of Japan total land mass.

Sorry. Having a blonde moment. I confused Chiba and Chubu.

Where in Chiba do you wanna travel? By bus or train?

JR has some passes that include the area, but only worth it if you are traveling elsewhere in Kanto. Also some of the private railways in Chiba have one day passes.

The Tokunai pass as its name implies is only valid inside Tokyo, so not in Chiba.

No pass is going to pay off for a single trip from Tokyo to anywhere in Chiba, but if you make other trips besides that, maybe the Tokyo Wide Pass.

Re: Pass from Tokyo to Chiba 2016/9/10 01:52
"Seishun 18(jyuu-hachi) kippu" cheaper than regular fare.
regular fare : 1310Y/oneway adult
Seishun 18 kippu : 2370Y/one day unlimted ride any "JR" trains except LtdExp and Shinakansen.
(No children type ticket)

But "18" is not one day only ticket be careful read all.

One date stamp means one traveler as one day.

So group(until 5) travel possible as one ticket.

Also fr Sinjuku to Sodegaura stn by ExpWay bus more convenient.
But not cheaper than JR 18 also regular ticket.
Just comfortable,fastest and easiest(no transfer).

Tokyo German Village :
http://t-doitsumura.co.jp/access/
German Village part is "Doitsu mura" in JP.

Around Doitsu mura no famous shrines/temples.
Back to Narita(near NRT) by JR trains via Chiba stn
or by Tokyo wan(bay) ferry fr Kanaya to Kurihama.
http://www.tokyowanferry.com/_file/MAP_L.png
After Kurihama take a local bus until Keyuu Kurihama stn(Not JR)
then to JR Kurihama by walk 5 min away
then take JR train to Kamakura.
Kamakura is one of very famous sightseeing spot.
http://www.city.kamakura.kanagawa.jp/kamakura-kankou/en/plan/
Also access convenient fr/to Shinjuku no need transfar by JR Rapid train.
(18 coverd if take Green car need Green car ticket plus)
