I found an airbnb apt. there - is it a good location in Shinjuku? or should I look for an apt next to Shinjuku station?
I want to be in a nice area that is close to restaurants and night life, but not sleezy..

Shibuya is a much better choice for what you're looking for. The Shin-Okubo station area is fairly sleazy, and there's very little in the way of residential housing next to Shinjuku station.
