Worth to visit Biei on late November? 2016/9/25 15:39
Hello. I plan to visit Hokkaido from November 23 until 27.
I saw in the articles that the farm in Biei is good. Also the blue pond and dancing trees, and Shikisai Hills
My questions:
- To explore and see scenery of the trees and shikisai hills do we need cars?
- Does Shikisai Hills have flowers during end of November? I think they might be withering already.

If you think it's not worth to visit Biei during end of November, I will not visit it. Can you give recommendations where to go? Maybe only Sapporo, Otaru, and Hakodate?

Actually it is nice to visit the countryside and get away from the bigger cities that you listed; around Biei there are a of of famous trees and if you are in luck you might already have a bit of snow.
I would say that you need to rent a car to explore Biei; I was there last January and Biei was packed with tourists, most of them taking taxis to visit the famous locations.
Just up the road of the Blue Pond is an onsen area and a famous waterfall too.
