Kansai Thru Pass or JR Kansai pass in Osaka?

Below is my approximate itinerary

October 26 to October 31, 2015:
Day 1: Arrive at Kansai airport from Singapore by 9:30 pm.
Our hotel is 2 minute from the Subway Midusuju Line to Minami kana station
Day 2: Visit Osaka Castle and Dontonbori Shopping Mall:
Osaka Castle:
Day 3: Visit Shintennoji Temple: The oldest Temple in Japan.
Visit Shinsaibashi Shopping Mall where there are many small shops and restaurants
Day 4: Visit Himeji Castle:
Where: The UNESCO World Heritage castle is one of the famous castles in Japan.
From Himeji Station, take the Shinki bus to its final stop, Mount Shosha Ropeway,. Take the Ropeway booth to view the majestic mountain . Upon return on the same bus, get off at castle stop. Visit the castle and the nearby Kokoen. Return to Osaka at night.

Day 5. Visit Kyoto .
Where: Kyomizudera Temple. The picturesque temple with its yellow autumn foliage below is one of the most beautiful scenes in Autumn Japan.
Next stop: Fushimi Inari Taisha Shrine.
Return to Osaka

None. Your travels are so short that passes will cost more on a per day basis than buying regular tickets. You Osaka to Kyiomizudera day for example is less than 1000 yen, and Fishimi Inrai is on the same trani line.

I'd just get a IC card. Use a rapid service be airport and Osaka and save more money.

Another question: If we want to visit Himeji, should we use the regular train or buy a one day JR Kansai Pass? Thanks again

Also, by the time we go thru Immigration and Custom Services, it could be pass 11:00-11:30 pm and we could end up missing the last train so I believe we can only take the bus to Osaka on arrival day, right. Thanks a lot for all your advice.

if you look at a timetable or use hyperida. it will give you the trains for the times you wanna travel.

if it is late, then yes there might not be a train available. another reason not to get any passes if you are using a buses.
