Carrying Rail pass around

HI,
so I'm leaving for japan this Nov. I already have my exchange voucher for my rail pass, but was wondering: how do you guys usually carry it around. Do you keep it in your bag and always take it out each time you need it, keep iit in a passport wallet (seems to small to me), keep it in a fanny pack kind of thing?
Thanks in advance for your help, I'm really not sure what to do.

I used to keep mine in my passport wallet but they've made it bigger so it wouldn't fit last time. I kept it in the pouch on the back of the Ergobaby I was carrying my baby in. Just choose somewhere that's easily accessible and flat, probably with your passport.

I keep it in a flat, zippable pocket in my bag.

Just in my day bag (which goes everywhere). Store them in the same place every time so you don't lose it - they are not replaceable.
