Cheapest way from Sapporo to Shirahama?

Hello!

I was relying on the JAL Explorer pass for this trip but when I tried to book the tickets, I can't choose Shirahama as the destination. I have to go to Tokyo or other airport first and fly to Shirahama from there. Which would mean I would pay double since I book 2 flights instead of one.

The only other way I thought of was to fly by budget airline to Osaka and then by bus to Shirahama, but even the budget airlines have huge prices for my dates, like double or even more (I'm going to a concert that weekend and they took advantage of the fact that thousands of people are going to fly back).


Do you guys have any other ideas? I still hope that maybe there are some passes/discounts I haven't heard of.

I would also do it in 2 flights via Tokyo. By far the best cost-performance in my opinion.

But if you really want to save money, you could consider taking a low-cost airline from Sapporo to Tokyo (can be around 5000 yen) and then an overnight bus from Tokyo to Osaka, or preferably Wakayama (can be around 3000 yen). From Osaka/Wakayama you could take a bus or train (3000 yen by bus from Osaka or 2000 yen by local trains from Wakayama).

btw HND(Hanada/Tokyo:“Œ‹ž) and SHM(Nanki-Shirahama:“ì‹I”’•l).
SHM is one of local/not urban small airport air lines only connected HND.

Route 2 shows Shin-Chitose (ANA) KIX - (JR) - Hineno - (JR) - Wakayama -(JR limited express)- Shirahama. The cost would be 10800 (ANA Experience JAPAN fare) + 4210 (JR, including limited express fee for non-reserved seat) yen.

But it depends on the specific date.
