Put Higashiyama/Kiyomizudera on the same day as Ginkakuji. If you look in the "Itineraries" section (under "Travel Planning" in the top corner), you'll see there is an Eastern Kyoto Full Day walking tour that starts at Ginkakuji and ends at Kiyomizudera, covering a few of the other sights you want to visit.

Agreed. If you do the full day Kiyomizudera/Higashiyama day up to Ginkajuku, with dinner/evening in Gion.

And another day doing Fishimi Inari first off, say 7 am. then heading to Arashiyama, then using the Hankyu railway to access Osaka.

It would all work. But it will be very long days and tiring.

Oops sorry. Also, dont use buses, they take too long to more around the locations you wanna see. first day you should be able to walk to most locations. Second day, you use Keihan Railway to Fishimi Inari, JR to Saga-Arashiyama, then Hankyu to Umeda.

Re: Kyoto Itinerary Check for 2 Day 2016/10/3 15:36
In these days, Kyoto is extremely crowded so you should do something to avoid the crowd. Bus tend to be slow according to the trafic jam, especially in the afternoon. Some places including Kiyomizudera, Kinkakuji, Fushimi Inari and Ginkakuji are especially crowded, so you should avoid these places in the afternoon.

So I would recommend you the following itinerary.

Day 1.

Taxi to Kiyomizudera in the morning. Walk through Higashiyama district to the north. Kodaiji, Kenninji, Sanjusangendo, Yasaka Shrine, Heian Shrine, Nanzenji, Murin-an, and Eikando are nice. You can walk up north to Ginkakuji, but in this case you must skip some places. If you end up at Nanzenji or Eikando, take Subway back to Gion.

Day 2.

Take take bus to Kinkakuji-michi and see Kinkakuji (opens at 9). Take bus to Enmachi and then JR to Saga-Arashiyama. See Arashiyama district. Take JR train to Kyoto then to Inari. If you have some luggage to store, go to JR Kyoto station by subway to drop you baggage, then go to Inari by JR, then Enmachi then bus to Kinkakuji, and then Arashiyama.
