Comments please - 6-day Kyoto/Osaka Itinerary

Dear Japan Experts,

Requesting your comments on below itinerary, please. We are a party of three adult females (including 1 senior citizen aged 63). We would like to hear your thoughts on the doability and proximity/order of places to be visited. Please feel free to suggest if we could do without the other places and replace them with other sights that we should not miss.

Some of the food items we'd like to eat during our trip are the following:

Takoyaki
Yakitori
Ramen
Sushi
Soba (cold noodles)
Fresh fruits
Cheese tarts

Please suggest also where we could dine in.

You dont need to stay in 2 different hotels for this itinerary. Moving hotels will just waste time.

You Kyoto days need a reconfigure. You are going north, east, west each day. Put west and north together, and east and south together.

You probably only need one day for you osaka days. So you could use that extra day for making your Kyoto days better/slower.

You'll be too early for cherry blossoms; in Kyoto they peak in the first week of April.

Your Kyoto days aren't well organised as you're jumping all over the city - it will take time to travel between the sights. The 13th stands out in particular. You could put Fushimi Inari on the same day as Nara, as they're on the same train line.
