Hi,
I thought of possibly doing a sidetrip to Shirakawa-go and stay in one of those farmhouses when in Japan next year. But not sure what to expect of weather, snow, etc since I assume this is in the alps region of Japan.
How should I prepare with clothing and so on? Should I bring a pair of ice crampons in case of slippery roads?
