It is hotter than other parts of Japan. But you can't swim there in January. Swimming season is from April to Sep or Oct . But you can scuba dive . And you can check the other activity. For example, watching sakura, picking orange, or the place that you can check it on web. If you want to stay hotel in north of okinawa. you shoud check it quickly. because there are many visiters in hotel for watiching sakura. I hope you enjoy your trip.

The weather is not very good in January, and it is a little cool. Nights are mild, though. Not the best time of the year, but Okinawa can be interesting at any time of the year.

There are direct flights from many airports across Japan. Details depend on where you will depart from.
