Spots around Ushiku Buddha & Ami Outlets

Hello, I am planning to drive to Ushiku Daibutsu this weekend. I am thinking of making it a full day trip. After googling, I found that Ami outlet mall is very closer to it. Even with these 2, I feel there will be sometime left around (We will not be spending much time in the outlets). Are there any places of interest in the surrounding areas.
