Can anyone suggest itenerary for Nara from Osaka?

Look at the Nara section of this website for ideas. The main sights are located around Nara Park, so it's easy to get around.

I think your day 2 is too busy, unless you don't plan to spend very long at Arashiyama. It's possible to spend a whole day there!

Nara prefecture has many interesting sites.

A: Minimum one day trip
Osaka Namba - Kintetsu Nara - Osaka Namba
Just around Todaiji, best one in Nara.

B: A bit more
Add Yakushiji and Todaiji, as large area as this map for one day 500 yen pass.

C: Maybe the maximum for one day
Add Horyuji, the best two in Nara.

Open jaw would work better in this case:

Depending on how much you want to do in Kobe, you may want to throw in a half-day trip to Arima Onsen. It's only 30-40 minutes by trains from either Sannomiya or Shin-Kobe stations. Read its page on this site for more information: http://www.japan-guide.com/e/e3558.html

For KOBE, probably you don't need the whole day in Sannnomiya.
If you are keen, go Himeji castle or Arima( that SpyHunter29has suggested) , or Sake brews tour after lunch at steak land.
