Is Tsukiji outer market open in January?

I'm planning to visit Tsukiji outer market sometimes between 2nd and 7th January 2017, and also to have breakfast at the famous Daiwa Sushi. Would like to know if the outer market (including restaurants such as Daiwa Sushi) is open during my stay in Tokyo and suggestions on good sushi places within the market. There is a calendar in their website but it's only up to December 2016. Thank you.

Tsukiji market is closed between 31 Dec 2016 - 4 Jan 2017, and 8 Jan - 9 Jan 2017.
The outer market is also closed during the New Year holidays, but, partly some 24 hours restaurants are opened, but, mostly closed.
