Hi All,
I need help. I'm trying to figure out whether to just reload my existing ICOCA or purchase a Kansai One Pass instead. I will be in Japan from November 20 to 27 and will be in Kansai area and Tokyo. Here is my itinerary if it would help.
By the way, for the trip to Himeji & Osaka I'm using the 1-day Kansai Area Pass.
Nov 20 - Genko-an & Kinkakuji Nov 21- Arashiyama Nov 22 - Komoyo-ji, Daigo-ji & Fushimi-Inari Nov 23 - Himeji & Osaka Nov 24 - travel to Tokyo Nov 25 - Icho Namiki, Showa Kinen & Shibuya Nov 26 - Doraemon Museum & Yoyogi Park Nov 27 - Asakusa area & Tokyo National Museum
1) Is it best to purchase Kansai One Pass instead of reloading my ICOCA? 2) I can use Kansai One Pass even in Tokyo right?
Thanks everyone for your help!

The Kansai One Pass is just a special version of the ICOCA, which also gives you some discounts to some attractions. Look up which attractions are discounted to decide if you would like to purchase one. The included ICOCA would also work in Tokyo.
Note that you can't use an IC card for long-distance travel; you will have to purchase a separate ticket to travel from Kansai to Tokyo.
