Enoshima Cats? 2016/11/12 16:01
I am a cat lover and I have heard that Enoshima is one of the cat island in Japan, so I am planning to go there, I have tried to search by Google Maps before going, but I can't even see a single cat in Street View, does anyone know which spot on the island has a big chance to see a lot of cats?

Long story short, it seems that Enoshima cats have decreased greatly in the past four years.

Komyoji of Kamakura was another cat spot, but I'm not sure if the same thing is happening there too. I haven't been to the temple for a while.

I visited Enoshima in 2014.

1) I didn't know it was known for cats.
2) I never saw a cat.

We went in June this year and only saw a couple of cats in a few hours.

I don't recall seeing any cats either. How about you go to a cat cafe instead?

I went to Enoshima in the fall of 2014.
I saw a total of about 5 animals.
I saw a lot on the route of Chigogafuchi from before Enoshima Shrine's Okutsunomiya.
I think there are sunny days.
Besides, I saw it near the street behind the Tobiccho main store and Seitenjima park.
I also saw a few cats in yuuyake dandan on yanakaginnza.

It was Shoutenjima Park, not Seitenjima Park.
It seems to be in Jogashima.
Jogashima Park near the fishing spot at the western end of the island and the eastern end.

Oi wharf Central Seaside Park(Oi futou chuo kaihin kouen,大井ふ頭中央海浜公園) seems to have the most cats in Tokyo.

There were several cats the times we've been, but far more interesting are the hawks. And we saw a squirrel as well.
