Hokkaido during December 2016/11/21 16:37
Hi all,

I am a first timer to Japan, travelling in last week of December for 10 days (Dec 24th to Jan 2nd).

Want to know whether its good idea to plan trip to Hokkaido during that time, as it will be snowing at end of December.

Will land in Tokyo and take off at the same place.

Can you please suggest me, what I should consider before I plan for it.

This January I spent 8 days in and around Biei in Hokkaido and this December I will return for a 10 days stay on the east coast of Hokkaido.
It was an awesome experience, in January we had about 30 cm of powder snow every morning but it was okay to drive our rental car.
You didn't mention where you wanted to go in Hokkaido, hopefully you intend to explore the are outside of Sapporo.
The only recommendation I can make is to dress warmly :-)

We had a great time: http://monochrome.me.uk/blog/tag/hokkaido/
