International driving license class D 2016/12/6 14:56
I am planning for a family trip to Nagoya. There are total of 8 people (all adults) and planning to rent a minivan (Toyota Hiace). It requires me to have a international driving permit class D. I am holding a singapore license class 3. Does this mean that when i apply at AA Singapore, i will get a class D ?

This forum is about Japan, not about Singapore (and its IDP procedures).

Singapore Class 3 is the equivalent of an IDP Class B. I've rented a mini-van many times on this which was the driver and 7 seats. I think you're allowed the driver and 8 additional seats.

The Singapore Class 3 only allows the driver and 7 passengers.

If you need a 15 passenger van, you're going to need the Class D IDP.
